Founded by April Simmons, Blossoms of Hope Kentucky is dedicated to empowering youth and families facing hardship — addressing food insecurity and providing mentorship, life skills development, academic support, and etiquette training that creates pathways to stability, confidence, and long-term success.

What is Blossoms of Hope Kentucky?

Blossoms of Hope Kentucky is a Louisville-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2020 by April Simmons. We empower youth and families through mentorship, education, life skills training, etiquette academies, cooking programs, and community outreach.
Where are you located and who do you serve?

We are based in Louisville, Kentucky and primarily serve West Louisville youth ages 8–18 and their families. Programs run at the Catholic Enrichment Center at 3146 W Broadway Street and other community locations.
How can I enroll my child in your programs?

Enrollment is free. Visit our Programs page to find registration forms for Life Skills Lab, Tutoring & Mentorship, Etiquette Academy, and the Blossoms Blessings Cooking Program. Space is limited each session.
Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes. Blossoms of Hope Kentucky Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 84-3435848). All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive a receipt for any gift.
How can I volunteer or partner with your organization?

What programs are running right now?

Tutoring Orientation is September 9 at the Catholic Enrichment Center, with weekly tutoring starting September 14 following the JCPS schedule. Life Skills Lab, Etiquette Academy, and the Blossoms Blessings Cooking Program run throughout the year. See our Events page for the current calendar.
