Our Story
Breaking Cycles. Building Futures.
A nonprofit born out of love for Louisville's youth, families, and forgotten corners.

April Simmons, Founder & Executive Director
Founder Spotlight
A vision rooted in love for community.
April Simmons founded Blossoms of Hope Kentucky out of a deep conviction that every child — regardless of their zip code or circumstance — deserves the chance to bloom. What began as small acts of service in her own neighborhood has grown into a community-wide movement of mentorship, education, and outreach.
Today, April leads a team of mentors, tutors, and volunteers committed to addressing food insecurity, restoring dignity, and creating real pathways to stability for marginalized youth and families across Louisville.
